A Blood Donation Camp was successfully organized by the NSS and YRC Units of Sri Sathya Sai (Degree) College for Women, Bhubaneswar on 25th February 2026 at 10:00 AM in the college campus. The programme was conducted in collaboration with the Blood Bank, BMC Hospital, Old Town, Bhubaneswar.
The camp was organized with the noble objective of promoting voluntary blood donation and creating awareness among students about the importance of donating blood to save lives. The Principal of the college encouraged the students and appreciated the initiative taken by the NSS and YRC Units for this humanitarian cause.
A medical team from BMC Hospital supervised the entire process. All necessary medical precautions and safety measures were strictly followed. Before donation, donors underwent proper health check-ups including blood pressure and hemoglobin tests to ensure their fitness.
Students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff actively participated in the camp. Around 30 units of blood were collected during the programme. The donors were provided with refreshments and certificates of appreciation.
The programme concluded successfully with a message emphasizing that blood donation is a noble act and a small contribution that can make a great difference in saving precious lives.
