About Department

The Department of History is Integral part of Institution called Sri Sathya Sai College for Women. It was established in the year 1981. Initially the department running on (Pass) Subject but later in the year 2017-2018 started offering Honors, under affiliated by Ramadevi Women University. As the college is situated in the heart of Capital city Bhubaneswar Odisha, the department is privileged to disseminate knowledge among the enthusiastic students. It aims to brings out the latent potential of the student and add wings to the dreams.

To establish the Department of History as a hub of Intellectual inquiry critical thinking and innovative research, fostering a deeper understanding of the past and its relevance to the present.

To provide students with a transformative education experience, empowering them to –

  • Engage Critically with Historical narratives and interpretation.
  • Apply historical prospectives to contemporary challenges.
