The Department of Sociology was established in this college in the year 1981. it has contributed a lot in academic and extracurricular sphere. it offers a very good quality of teaching learning process by organizing seminar, study tour and interactive classes in various sessions.
the department of sociology aim at explaining and analyzing “society” as a whole to students. it clears the concept of social behavior of human being, their interactions, conditions and consequences through class room teaching, seminar, study tour etc.
The Department of Sociology offers BA (hons) and elective and this course provides a critical insight and perspective to the solutions of social problems. it has changed the outlook of our students with regard to the problems of crime, its causes and effects on society. The department ensures students that society is fundamental for human life and this subject covers every aspect and every sphere of human life. it also helps students and teachers in preparing and conducting classes in both online and offline mode.
