About Department

Sanskrit department has a glorious past and present. It is the most ancient language and perfect among the great languages in the world. The department is established in the academic year 1981. It is established to provide the students the knowledge and value of Sanskrit language, literature, and various Sastras. In every sphere of service our students have been shown their Skill and efforts.

As all Indian languages, have originated from Sanskrit, the Subject is given vital importance in
our collage By Studying Students will be able to read, understand, write, and speak Sanskrit.
They would acquire the knowledge of Sanskrit, Panini grammar, literature, history of literature,
Indian Philosophy, Veda, Vedanga, Vedic literature, dharmasastras, arthasastra, nitisastra and
inscriptions. They will also acquire the initial Knowledge of Indian civilization and culture
through Sanskrit texts. They will be capable of studying Vedic and Classical Sanskrit literature.
They will be able to understand the ultimate goal of life.

HOD's Message

“उद्यमेन हि सिध्यन्ति कार्याणि न मनोरथैः। न हि सुप्तस्य सिंहस्य प्रविशन्ति मुखे मृगाः।”
For things are accomplished by enterprise and not by wishes. Deer do not enter the mouth of a sleeping lion. This means that success is not achieved by just wishing, but one has to work hard to complete one’s work. This verse indicates that a deer does not automatically enter the mouth of a sleeping lion, in the same way mere thinking does not help in achieving any work.
