Sri Sathya Sai College for Women, Bhubaneswar, celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India on 15 August 2026 with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The programme was organised in the college premises with the active participation of the Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students.

The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The gathering was then addressed by the Principal, Dr. Niharika Das, who extended her greetings on the occasion and highlighted the values of patriotism, unity, discipline, responsibility and service to the nation. She encouraged the students to become responsible citizens and contribute meaningfully to the progress of the country.

The programme also included patriotic songs and cultural presentations by the students, which created an atmosphere of national pride and enthusiasm. The students participated wholeheartedly and expressed their love and respect for the nation through their performances.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, staff members and students for their valuable presence and active participation. The programme was a meaningful celebration of India’s freedom and a reminder of the duties and responsibilities of every citizen towards the nation.
