The Dept. Of History of Sri Sathya Sai College for Women, Organized an IQAC Sponsored Special Seminar on “Recent Discovered Archaeological sites in Odisha – A historical perspective” to explore the significance of Odisha’s Archaeological heritage. The seminar commenced with the lightning of lamp and welcome addressed by Mr. Swayanjit Pattanik Lect.in History. He hosted the Seminar. Miss Sunita naik, HOD Dept. of History introduced the theme and importance of preservation and conservation of archaeological sites and followed by a presentation by Dr Behera. Dr. Anam Behera delivered an enlightening key note address, highlighting the importance of recent archaeological discoveries in Odisha. Recent Discoveries at Potagarh, Asurgarh, Kainfulia, Durgadevi, Kankeikuda, Pitapali mundia,Gangapada mundia, Delanga dhipa, Suabarai etc. He also highlighted the significance of these sites in understanding Odisha’s ancient trade network and cultural exchange. Sri Sunil kumar Rath emphasized the need for interdisciplinary research and community involvement in archaeological conservation. 22 faculties, 70 students and 2 guests particip[ated in this seminar. +3 3rd Year student Monalish Sahoo gave vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief speaker, Chief guest, principal, faculty members and student. This seminar successfully highlighted the significance of recent archaeological discoveries of Odisha, fostering a deeper understanding of the State’s rich cultural heritage.
