Sri Sathya Sai College for Women successfully organized the “AI Careers for Women” Orientation Programme on 3 August 2026 under the initiative of the Edunet Foundation, in collaboration with Microsoft and SAP. The programme aimed to create awareness among young women about the growing opportunities in the field of Artificial Intelligence and to encourage them to develop future-ready technological skills.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the esteemed resource person, Mr. Abhisek Kumar, an expert in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the Edunet Foundation. The welcome address highlighted the significance of the initiative and expressed pride that Sri Sathya Sai College for Women was selected as one of only six colleges to participate in this prestigious programme.
Approximately 70 students from the Science stream actively participated in the orientation programme. The event was coordinated by the SPOC, Ms. Barsha Rani Ojha, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the programme. Faculty members from different departments also attended the session and encouraged the students to actively engage in the learning process.
Mr. Abhisek Kumar delivered an engaging and informative session on the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, emerging career opportunities in AI and Machine Learning, industry expectations, and the importance of developing technical and problem-solving skills. He also introduced students to the objectives of the AI Careers for Women initiative and encouraged them to actively participate in the learning opportunities provided through the programme.
The session was highly interactive, with students enthusiastically participating in discussions and seeking guidance regarding career pathways, skill development, and future prospects in the field of AI. The programme successfully inspired students to explore technology-driven careers and reinforced the importance of continuous learning in the rapidly evolving digital era.
