A two-day International Seminar on “Application of Psychology in the Changing World: Understanding, Implementation and Transformation” was organized by the Department of Applied Psychology, Fakir Mohan University, on 14th and 15th July, 2025. The event brought together academicians, researchers, and practitioners from diverse backgrounds to explore the evolving role of psychology in contemporary society.
Mrs. Barsha Rani Ojha, Lecturer in Psychology, Sri Sathya Sai College for Women, Bhubaneswar, actively participated in the seminar and presented a research paper titled “Lived Experiences of Women with PCOS in Odisha: A Qualitative Inquiry.” Her presentation highlighted the psychological, social, and cultural challenges faced by women diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), offering insightful findings through a qualitative lens. The paper was well-received by the academic community for its relevance and depth of analysis in addressing women’s health issues from a psychological perspective.
The seminar proved to be a significant platform for academic exchange and interdisciplinary dialogue on pressing psychological concerns in today’s rapidly changing world.
