The Department of Home Science, in collaboration with the NSS Unit, organized a special program to celebrate **POSHAN Maah–2025** on **16th October 2025** at **Room No. 11, Science Block**. The event aimed to spread awareness about nutrition and the importance of a balanced diet under the Government of India’s POSHAN Abhiyaan initiative.
The program began with a warm welcome and introduction of the guests by **Dr. Rasmita Parida**, Faculty Member, Department of Home Science. This was followed by the opening remarks delivered by **Mrs. Bindulata Panda**, NSS Programme Officer, who emphasized the importance of community participation in nutrition awareness.
The highlight of the event was an insightful awareness talk by **Miss Sonali Sinha**, who served as the Chief Speaker. She addressed key nutritional issues and practical ways to adopt healthier eating habits, especially among youth and women.
An interactive Q&A session followed, where participants actively engaged with the speaker, asking questions and sharing thoughts on nutritional challenges faced in daily life. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by **Mrs. Barsha Rani Ojha**, NSS committee member, acknowledging the efforts of all contributors and participants.
The event successfully fulfilled its objective of promoting nutritional awareness and encouraging healthy living among students and the community.
