The Environmental Plastic Free Awareness Programme was organized in 2026 at Sri Sathya Sai College for Women (SSSCW) to promote awareness about the harmful effects of plastic pollution. The programme aimed to encourage students to adopt eco-friendly and sustainable practices. Faculty members addressed the gathering on the environmental and health hazards caused by single-use plastics. Students were sensitized about plastic reduction, reuse, and recycling methods. Interactive discussions helped students understand their role in protecting the environment. Awareness was also created on government initiatives for plastic-free campuses. Students pledged to minimize plastic use in their daily lives. The programme emphasized the importance of responsible consumer behavior. Active participation of students made the programme impactful. The event concluded with a collective commitment towards a cleaner and plastic-free environment.
