rom November 12 to November 26, 2022, Sri Sathya Sai College for Women in Bhubaneswar organized a Kitchen Garden Training Programme aimed at promoting sustainable living and self-reliance among its students. This initiative was part of the college’s commitment to imparting practical and value-based education.
The programme provided students with hands-on experience in cultivating kitchen gardens, focusing on growing essential vegetables and herbs. Participants learned about organic farming techniques, composting, and the importance of homegrown produce in ensuring food security and nutrition.
By engaging in this training, students not only acquired valuable agricultural skills but also developed a deeper understanding of environmental sustainability and the benefits of consuming locally grown food. This initiative reflects the college’s dedication to holistic education and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment and community.
