Faculty Development Programme (FDP)
On “NEP 2020: A Roadmap for Excellence in Higher Education”

The Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences, Rama Devi Women’s University, Bhubaneswar organized a two-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on the theme “NEP 2020: A Roadmap for Excellence in Higher Education” on 21st and 22nd August 2025 at Room No. 17, Academic Block-2, RDWU Campus. The FDP aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the vision, objectives, and implementation strategies of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, particularly in the context of higher education.
The inaugural session commenced with the lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to Maa Rama Devi, followed by the welcome address and felicitation of guests. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chandi Charan Rath, delivered the inaugural address highlighting the importance of NEP 2020 in reshaping the educational framework of the country.
The programme consisted of eight technical sessions conducted by eminent resource persons from reputed institutions, covering diverse aspects of NEP 2020 such as teacher education, ICT integration, research, multidisciplinary curriculum, Indian Knowledge System (IKS), leadership, and assessment reforms.

Day I (21st August 2025)
• Prof. S.P. Adhikary (Former Vice Chancellor, Fakir Mohan University): “New Education Policy-2020: Vision, Principles and Structure of Higher Education”
• Prof. B.N. Panda (Retd. Professor, RIE, NCERT, Bhubaneswar): “NEP-2020 and Teacher Education”
• Prof. Ramakanta Mohalik (Professor of Education, RIE, NCERT, Bhubaneswar): “Use of ICT in Higher Education”
• Prof. Aditya Kumar Mohanty (Professor of Philosophy (Retd.), Utkal University): “Indian Knowledge System (IKS)”
Day II (22nd August 2025)
• Prof. H.K. Senapaty (Former Director, NCERT, Professor, RIE, NCERT, BBSR): “Holistic Assessment & Examination Reform”
• Prof. Sudarshan Mishra (Professor of Education, Ravenshaw University, Cuttack): “NEP-2020: Provision of Research”
• Prof. Dibakar Sarangi (Former Principal, Dr. PMIASE, Sambalpur): “Multidisciplinary Curriculum & 21st Century Skills”
• Prof. Madhumita Das (Former Vice Chancellor, Fakir Mohan University, Balasore): “Academic Leadership”
The FDP also included the inauguration of a Wall Magazine, Counselling Corner, cultural programmes, and concluded with the valedictory session and certificate distribution.
This two-day programme provided an excellent platform for academic discussions, exchange of ideas, and professional growth, enabling faculty members to realign their pedagogical practices in tune with the reforms proposed under NEP 2020.
